TUESDAY AND THURSDAY (FULL DAY)
The Rabaçal Valley stands as one of Madeira’s most magnificent natural wonders, a true testament to the island’s breathtaking beauty. Your journey begins with a descent from the Paúl da Serra plateau, leading you to the Rabaçal guesthouse, where the adventure unfolds.
From here, follow the trail to the majestic Risco Waterfall, where cascading waters create a mesmerizing spectacle. Continuing your descent, you will reach the renowned Levada of 25 Fontes, walking along its maintenance path, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of flowing water and the lush greenery of the laurel forest.
Soon, you will arrive at a secluded emerald lake, nestled beneath a towering cliff. From its rugged face, 25 natural springs spill into the crystalline waters below, crafting an enchanting and almost mystical atmosphere.
As you make your way back, the journey takes you through an 800-meter tunnel, an impressive feat of engineering that channels water to the southern regions of the island. Walking through this tunnel adds an extra element of adventure, making this an experience that is both exhilarating and unforgettable.
