Just when it seemed that every corner of Madeira had been uncovered, a hidden gem was revealed—an untouched paradise in Serra de Água, offering some of the most breathtaking landscapes on the island.
From this privileged vantage point, you will be treated to panoramic views stretching across the South Coast, Encumeada, Ribeira Brava, and Campanário, each vista more awe-inspiring than the last. This levada, spanning an impressive 65 kilometers, holds many wonders, yet we have carefully selected the most scenic 5 kilometers for an unforgettable walk through nature’s masterpiece.
This gentle and accessible trail is a delight to explore, with a stunning diversity of flora and fauna that flourishes along the way. Every step brings a new discovery, a deeper connection to Madeira’s untamed beauty.
No visit to the island would be complete without experiencing this enchanting landscape. Take a moment, breathe in the serenity, and immerse yourself in one of nature’s finest creations. A sight to behold, and a memory to cherish.

Pickup in Machico and Santa Cruz area has a non-commissionable extra charge of €10,00 per person for the following walks:

- Ribeiro Frio / Portela
If required a babyseat / boosterseat there’s a non-commissionable extra charge of 3€, per seat. Must be requested upon the reservation.

If the child in under 12 years old and does not have 135 centimeters in height, please let us know (in the comment section) as by Portuguese law it requires a babyseat / booster seat.
