Your journey begins 310 meters above sea level, near the charming church of Ponta do Sol. As you set out, you will follow two distinct levadas—Levada dos Moinhos and Levada Nova—each offering its own unique charm and beauty.
Along the way, you will be captivated by the lush endemic flora and fauna, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic views of the Ponta do Sol valley and village. The trail unveils breathtaking scenery at every turn, providing a serene yet exhilarating connection with nature.
To fully enjoy this adventure, be sure to bring a flashlight, as you will pass through short tunnels that add an extra element of exploration to this unforgettable walk.

If required a babyseat / boosterseat there’s a non-commissionable extra charge of 3€, per seat. Must be requested upon the reservation.

If the child in under 12 years old and does not have 135 centimeters in height, please let us know (in the comment section) as by Portuguese law it requires a babyseat / booster seat.
